Multiple techniques come together for this elegant stylized three-dimensional key simply strung on a neck chain. Reminiscent of the eighteenth century when elegance was the order of the day, this necklace offers a key to the past.

  • Flat and tubular peyote stitch
  • Picot
  • Netting

Materials:

  • 2 g gold-lined crystal AB size 15/0 seed beads (465F) (A)
  • 9 g gold-lined crystal size 15/0 seed beads (465A) (B)
  • 3 g metallic white gold iris 11/0 cylinder beads (DB546) (C)
  • 3 g gold-lined crystal AB size 11/0 seed beads (465F) (D)
  • 22 bright gold 3mm crystal pearl rounds
  • 1 bright gold 6mm crystal pearl round
  • 2 alexandrite 10mm cubic zircon (CZ) pointed-back cabochons*
  • Gray and beige nylon beading thread*
  • Beading wax*
  • Toothpick

    *I have the following on my web site:

Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Size 12 beading needles
  • Large paper clip or awl
  • Wire cutters
  • Nail file (optional)

Finished Size: 19" with 3 1/4" pendant
