Regina's Pearls Necklace Kit

Combining the allure of history with contemporary products, this design focuses on a central CZ set in a fine metal. The stone is embellished with pearls in the Elizabethan style and suspended from a fabulous pearl-encrusted, beaded chain that creates a necklace worthy of a queen.

You will learn how to set a 10mm CZ, which is really cool! After that, we head for building a 3-D pendant shape using a variety of techniques to create a channel of beadwork that will later hold the 8mm pearls. Using seed beads, a form of wrapping creates the final edge of the pendant. The necklace chain is a very unique approach to Netting. It is beautiful and lends itself to a many variations.

• Netting
• Circular and tubular peyote stitch
• Square stitch

Finished length: The pendant is 1 ½” diameter and the chain is 32"

• 1 plastic carrying case
• 2 size 12 beading needles
• One bobbin One G beading thread in beige
• 15 grams rose gold metallic size 15° seed beads #462R (A)
• 2 grams rose gold metallic size 11° Delica beads #501 (B)
• 400 Swarovski Crystal Creamrose 3mm pearls
• 9 Swarovski Crystal Creamrose 8mm pearls
• 1 Swiss-blue 10mm CZ
• 1 gold-filled 10mm 6-prong setting

What you will need to complete Regina’s Pearls:

• Microcrystal wax (optional, but recommended)
• 1" of Terrifically Tacky Tape
• 1/2" diameter dowel or wooden needle case
• Small sharp scissors
• Thread zapper (optional but handy)
• Jewelry grade chain-nose pliers
• Work surface of choice
• Lighting and magnification, if needed
